Daniel Klein is the Chief Executive Officer of Jewish Silicon Valley (JSV), a nonprofit
organization dedicated to connecting, supporting, and advocating for the Jewish community across Silicon Valley. Under his leadership, the organization has expanded its impact and visibility.
His career has spanned the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Daniel served a significant time with American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and nearly five years as Executive Director of Israel Bonds for the Pacific Northwest. During his tenure at Israel Bonds, Daniel helped craft and championed a landmark policy effort, authorizing the state to participate in the purchase of Israel Bonds to access higher yields for California taxpayers and pension holders.
Daniel has been a visible and vocal advocate on the issues that matter most to the communities he serves.
Daniel Klein (MPP ’12), was recently named Pepperdine School of Public Policy’s Distinguished Alumnus. In its announcement of this honor Pepperdine shared: A financial expert and policy leader, Klein has built a career spanning national and international Jewish organizations. He embodies principled leadership at the intersection of policy, faith, and community impact.
He was also selected by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the nation’s largest community foundation, to serve on its Community Advisory Council - helping guide the foundation’s strategic direction and civic engagement across Silicon Valley.
Daniel holds a Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy, where he focused on state/local politics and economics, and interned in the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Daniel lives in San Jose, California, with his wife and their six children.
