Joe Schwartz

Joe Schwartz is an educator, rabbi and attorney. He is the Director of Makom: the Israel Education laboratory of the Jewish Agency for Israel, where he focuses on developing tools for conveying complexity simply. He has taught groups from across the Jewish world and lectured widely. Joe has been a Jewish entrepreneur, a congregational rabbi in New York City’s Greenwich Village, and a litigator. He has published in Jewish Priorities, the Forward, Ha’aretz, and in many other outlets, as well as on his Substack, Bones of Joseph.
Born and raised in New York City, in 2020 Joe made Aliya with his family. He is married to Avigail and is kvelling father to Zev, Paz and Shai. They live in Tel Aviv.
