Lori Meyers

Bay Area Center to Counter Antisemitism

Lori Meyers is a grassroots organizer and co-lead of the Palo Alto Jewish Alliance, where she advocates for civic and educational spaces that are safe and inclusive for the Jewish community, while actively combating antisemitism. She is a founding board member of the Bay Area Center to Counter Antisemitism (BACCA), which supports the vital work of Bay Area grassroots organizers addressing antisemitism in local schools and communities, and a founding board member of the Cal Jewish Alumni Network.

Lori brings years of non-profit educational advocacy experience, including co-founding a grassroots organization of educators in 2020 with a mission to promote a balanced approach to ethnic studies. Her Jewish non-profit experience also includes serving on the boards of Club Z and her synagogue.

Lori is also a California teacher and school administrator, currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning at South Peninsula Hebrew Day School. Before entering education, she spent many years in high tech as a writer and trainer before leaving the corporate world to follow her passion for teaching.

Lori holds a Master’s in Innovative Learning from Touro University, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Notre Dame de Namur University and a Bachelor of Arts from U.C. Berkeley.
