Matthew Cowan
Social Media Education Manager
TalkIsrael Foundation

Matt Cowan is the Social Media Education Manager at the TalkIsrael Foundation, a nonprofit helping Gen Z creators share Israel's story through personal, authentic content on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. He mentors TalkIsrael's U.S. creators one on one, helping them sharpen their hooks, editing, and storytelling, and builds the workshops and programming that bring those skills to students and emerging creators. He also leads partnerships with campus and community organizations, and has traveled the country to teach social media at conferences and on campuses.

Before TalkIsrael, Matt spent a decade running social and content for some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Sabrina Carpenter, Slander, and The Chainsmokers, across labels like Atlantic, Capitol, Island, Universal, Sony, and Warner. He also served as head of influencer for Gordon Ramsay's cookware company, where he managed creator partnerships and negotiations. That experience taught him what makes an audience lean in and what makes a creator worth betting on. He brings both lessons to every creator he coaches: lead with a real voice, then build the systems that make it last.

Outside of work, Matt is a licensed pilot, an Anaheim Ducks fan, and a passionate home cook who loves sharing Jewish culture through food and storytelling. He has led Birthright trips, travels often to Tel Aviv in search of the best restaurants, and is based in Southern California.
