Maya Vorobyov is the Executive Director of TalkIsrael, a nonprofit dedicated to positively changing the conversation about Israel online by empowering young content creators.

Raised in Israel, Maya's passion for connecting with Diaspora Jewish communities began during her service as a producer and commander of the IDF bands in the Youth Corps' educational branch. She later earned a B.A. in Communications and Political Marketing and a master’s in Government, Diplomacy and Strategy from Reichman University.

Maya moved to California to serve as the Israel Fellow at Hillel Foundation of Orange County, where she engaged students in discussions about Israel, combated Antisemitism and supported pro-Israel groups on campus.

Recognizing that the real battleground for Israel’s narrative is online, Maya joined TalkIsrael to empower creators to build their brands, grow their audiences and share authentic, positive stories about Israel on social media. Maya’s expertise in working with content creators and influencers allows her to bridge the gap between Israel’s story and the digital world, fostering a community of voices that are making a tangible impact online.

Through workshops, mentorships and partnerships, Maya is leading a movement to reshape how Israel is portrayed to Gen Z audiences.
