Michal Lev-Ram is a seasoned business journalist, known for her multimedia coverage of the technology industry and its intersection with culture, politics and the broader economy. She is a Contributing Editor at Fortune, as well as a Contributor to CNBC, making regular appearances out of the leading business network’s San Francisco bureau. Michal also hosts a weekly podcast, What’s Your Number?, which focuses on the Israeli economy and is produced by Dan Senor’s Ark Media. 

Michal has spent 15 years at Fortune, where she has held various roles, including Editor-at-Large. In addition to writing deep-dive features, newsletter essays and breaking news stories, she has extensive experience in live journalism, having served as the Editorial Director of Fortune’s renowned live events business. In 2022, Michal co-created, hosted and was lead writer for an Audible Original podcast called Operation Firewall, a “true crime” series about an early cybercrime investigation by the Secret Service. Earlier in her career, Michal worked at Business 2.0 Magazine, where she focused on the startup ecosystem. 

Originally from Israel, Michal lives in Silicon Valley with her family.
