Mika Sternberg
Israeli Sailor

Mika Sternberg is an Israeli sailor based in Los Angeles, pursuing her goal of representing Israel at the LA 2028 Olympics.

Mika began sailing at age nine and won an Israeli National Championship at just ten years old. After moving from Israel to Los Angeles at age 12, she continued developing as a competitive sailor, establishing herself as one of the top female youth sailors on the West Coast and competing on the international stage.

Today, together with her sailing partner Yogev Alcalay, Mika is building ISR36, Israel's first-ever Olympic catamaran campaign. Their goal is to qualify for LA 2028 while creating a pathway for the next generation of Israeli sailors through youth development and the growth of catamaran sailing in Israel.

Having spent half her life in Israel and half in the United States, Mika sees her journey as an opportunity to bridge the two communities through sport, represent Israel on the international stage, and inspire young Israelis to pursue opportunities they may never have imagined possible.
