Oshman Family JCC

Sally is the Chief Operating Officer/ Executive Vice President of the Oshman Family JCC and oversees all of the day-to-day operations of the JCC ensuring that the organization and the community flourish. She oversaw the $12M build of a park and pavilion at the Palo Alto site. Additionally, she led the organization through the pandemic and enabled it to continue to thrive afterward. Previously, she was the Executive Director of the JCC of the East Bay for five years. She first served as the Board Treasurer, until assuming the Executive Director role.

Sally’s extensive not-for-profit experience includes work in domestic and international development and environmental organizations. She has served as Executive Director of JustAct (formerly the Overseas Development Network), Community Development Program Manager for the American Refugee Committee in Uganda and the Volunteer Coordinator for Rainforest Action Network in San Francisco. Additionally, she worked on poverty issues in Africa for the World Bank.

She earned an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and an MA in Anthropology and a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University. She is a graduate of the Mandel Executive Leadership Program. She sits on the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce Board and as the liaison to the Palo Alto Chamber Foundation; and is a mediator for the Palo Alto Mediation Program. Sally and her husband live in Palo Alto and have three young adult children.
