(RE)Defining Zionism & The Kol Project

Shlomit Levy Bard is a portrait artist and storyteller dedicated to helping people see one another. Her photographs have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, the Associated Press, The Telegraph, and Haaretz.

She is the artist behind (RE)Defining Zionism, a traveling exhibition launched after October 7, 2023, in response to misinformation and dehumanization surrounding Israel and Zionism. Through portraits, text, and video testimonies, it presents the diverse voices of Israelis and of Jews around the world. She is the founder of The Kol Project, which uses art and workshops to foster dialogue, empathy, and civic engagement.

Her boutique studio, Studio SLB Photography, creates emotionally rich portraits of individuals, professionals, and families with a documentary eye and fine art sensibility. She holds a political science degree from UCLA and lives in Los Angeles with her family.
