Award Process
Phase 1:
Nominations Period
Nomination Requirements
Nominations must be received by August 4, 2025 at 11:59 PM PDT. Late submissions will be accepted only under extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the Z3 Project Team.
Self-nominations or nominating someone else are both permitted; however, any individual may only be nominated once and any additional submissions will be disqualified.
If you are nominating someone else, you must have their permission to do so and confirm their consent by checking the appropriate box on the nomination form.
A headshot of the nominee must be included with the nomination form.
If the nominee advances to Phase 2 or beyond, their name and headshot may be used for promotional purposes on the public voting page, the Z3 Project website, social media channels and in the Z3 Newsletter. By submitting the nomination form, the nominee confirms their consent to these uses.
Past Z3 Bridge Builder Award finalists may not be nominated again.
All questions on the nomination form must be answered. Submissions that repeat the same text across multiple responses will not be accepted.
Eligibility
This award is open to nominees worldwide.
The application must show how the nominee has effected or facilitated efforts in a professional or volunteer capacity within the Jewish community to bridge divides, bringing together individuals or groups with opposing views through dialogue, through projects and initiatives that foster unity and understanding.
The award is dedicated to honor and recognize individuals who have demonstrated outstanding efforts in building bridges within the Jewish community. This award is not intended for organizations.
While we deeply value the work of coexistence and peace-building organizations, this award specifically recognizes individuals who are dedicated to creating connections and bridging divides within the Jewish world.
We encourage nominators to be detailed in their submissions to outline clearly the actions and impacts of the nominee’s work.
Phase 2:
Public Voting Period
The Z3 Project Team will review the nominee submissions from Phase 1 and choose 18 nominees to continue to Phase 2.
Public voting will open on August 11, 2025 at 12:00 AM PDT and close on August 27, 2025 at 11:59 PM PDT.
Phase 3:
Finalists & Winner Period
The nominees from Phase 2 who receive the top 3 highest vote counts will advance to Phase 3.
The 3 finalists will be publicly announced on September 2, 2025.
The winner will be selected from among the finalists by the Z3 Project Team and publicly announced on September 10, 2025.Ph
The Award & Monetary Prizes
The winner will receive the Bridge Builder Award at the Z3 Conference 2025, taking place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Palo Alto, California. The $10,000 top prize will be disbursed either before or following the conference, as arranged by the Z3 Project. The award is an unrestricted gift. The Z3 Project will not place any conditions or requirements on how the award recipient chooses to use the prize funds.
The 2 runner-up finalists will each receive $1,000 in recognition of their work in building bridges within the Jewish world. This prize will be disbursed either before or following the conference, as arranged by the Z3 Project.
We acknowledge and extend our appreciation to all nominees who advance to Phase 2 of the award process. While their contributions are recognized, please note that only the 2 runner-up finalists and the award winner will receive monetary awards.
Other Terms of Participation
The winner will have their flight and accommodations arranged by the Z3 Project to attend the Z3 Conference 2025 on Sunday, November 9, 2025 in Palo Alto, California to accept the award. The Z3 Project reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding travel and accommodation arrangements and associated costs.
