Meg Keene is the Executive Editor of Meg Keene Books, an imprint of Wicked Son distributed by Simon & Schuster, where she leads the acquisition and publication of contemporary Jewish fiction.

Keene spent fifteen years as the founder and editor-in-chief of A Practical Wedding, growing it from a kitchen-table blog into a self-funded, seven-figure media company and the largest independently owned wedding publication in the English language. At its peak, A Practical Wedding reached more than two million readers a month and more than 13 million across platforms.

She is the bestselling author of A Practical Wedding (Hachette, 2012; revised ed. 2020) and A Practical Wedding Planner (Hachette, 2016), which together have sold more than 150,000 copies.

Her writing and commentary have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NPR, The Atlantic, BuzzFeed, and the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. In 2024, she wrote the most widely read personal essay in the Jewish press. Most recently, she served as a research partner with the ADL, contributing to its report on antisemitism in the arts.

She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
