Omer Fein is the Chief Economic Consul of Israel to the U.S. West Coast, where he leads one of Israel’s most strategic economic missions. Based in San Francisco and covering 17 states, he oversees trade, investment and innovation partnerships that connect hundreds of Israeli companies with Fortune 500 enterprises, venture capital firms and technology ecosystems. He manages operations and initiatives that facilitate thousands of B2B meetings annually, contributing to meaningful investment and commercialization outcomes across sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, climate and water technologies and advanced industry.
Previously, Omer served as Chief of Staff to Israel’s Trade Commissioner in Jerusalem, advising three Ministers of Economy and Industry. In that capacity, he supported global market development, budget stewardship and international economic coordination, including work related to the Abraham Accords and responses to major geopolitical and public-health disruptions. Earlier in his career, he established and led Israel’s investment arm for the Americas and MENA regions, organizing investor delegations and programs to channel international capital into Israeli innovation.
Mr. Fein is a member of the Bretton Woods Committee and serves as a judge for the Stevie Awards in innovation and leadership. He holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University’s Coller School of Management and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology. He also champions LGBTQ+ inclusion within economic diplomacy and the innovation ecosystem, reflecting a commitment to broad-based participation and shared prosperity.
