Ron Weinreich is the Founder and CEO of TEVANUA, an Israeli initiative pioneering accessible nature and outdoor experiences for people with mobility disabilities. His mission is simple: to make the freedom, healing, and adventure of nature accessible to everyone—regardless of physical ability.

Born in Israel and raised in the United States, Ron returned to Israel with his family at 15. At 18, he enlisted in the IDF Armor Corps, where his natural ability to lead, train, and motivate others quickly emerged. By age 20, he was commanding soldiers in combat as a tank commander. In 2006, while fighting in the Second Lebanon War, Ron suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down.

His injury fundamentally changed his life—but not his appetite for it. After an intensive rehabilitation, Ron studied business at Reichman University and was accepted into the prestigious ZELL Entrepreneurship Program. He went on to build a career in transformational leadership and executive development, founding a prominent business consulting firm in Israel and working with executives and organizations around the world. He has also trained members of the IDF and other security agencies and served as a senior leader of a U.S. volunteer nonprofit that, alongside its partners, raised more than $42 million in grassroots donations over two years to provide life-changing equipment to wounded American veterans.

Yet one challenge remained deeply personal: access to nature.

As a wheelchair user for nearly two decades, Ron experienced firsthand how profoundly nature can restore perspective, freedom, and vitality—and how inaccessible it remains to millions of people with disabilities. TEVANUA was born from that realization.

Today, Ron is channeling his experience as a leader, entrepreneur, disability advocate, and outdoor enthusiast into building a national network of all-terrain mobility chairs, creating a future where people with disabilities can experience Israel’s beaches, parks, trails, reserves, and natural landscapes.
