Sam Aboudara

Sam Aboudara is the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of NJY Camps. In his role, Sam oversees the day-to-day infrastructure and organizational systems of one of North America’s largest Jewish camp complexes, partnering with its year-round team to drive a forward-thinking vision and strategy. NJY Camps serves several thousand young people each year through its various camps and retreat center programs, reaching participants from across the Jewish denominational spectrum and employing 800 seasonal staff.

Sam previously spent 8 years as a Camp Director, before becoming the Director of Operations and Engagement at JPro Network. Sam grew up and began his career in the UK at Maccabi Great Britain, before becoming a self-employed consultant, where he worked with a variety of UK-based education and training providers. Sam holds a B.Sc. in Sport and Exercise Science from Loughborough University and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from Gratz College for which he was awarded the Legacy Heritage Foundation’s Midcareer Fellowship and was also a JCC Association Scholar. Sam completed an Executive Certificate in Design Thinking from Pace University’s Lubin Business School and previously served on the school’s advisory board. Sam was previously a fellow in the Mandel Foundation’s Executive Leadership Program. Sam regularly writes and presents on topics of interest to the global Jewish community and summer camp industry. He lives in Morristown, NJ with his wife Sarah, and is the proud parent of two daughters, Madelynn and Ellie.
